Week-In-Review

First, and not a moment to soon I finally finished the boys blankets. It was such a victory for myself. This is James' blanket that the kid has just loved to death for about 4 years. Lately when he would wrap himself it looked liked he had a big sheet of cotton around him.

The finished product!!! I must say once again that the fabric the boys picked out tells so much about their personalities, I just have to smile.

Earlier in the week we head out to the Kearns Fitness Center to play at their pool. It is a water filled Disneyland. The boys love it and I couldn't be happier with a outing that entertains for hours.

I have zero pictures from the rest of the weeks activities. We had a wonder 24th, Brad didn't have to work and Brooke took the Boys in the morning and Brad and I were able to get some much cleaning done. I have looked at the dirt pile up for the last 3 months and it was nice to get at least a jump start.
That afternoon we headed to Gateway to see Ice Age 3 with the boys and the a BBQ up at Trent and Amy's. You guys are always nice to open your home, even if it wasn't your idea.
The cherry on top was last night was Jenny's 16th birthday party. It was alot of fun with alot of great food. Happy Birthday Jenny.
A fabulous week and the best part is I am finally starting to feel good!!!!(knock on wood)

Parental Failures

This post sums up the past few days at the Bentley's. Josh was such a big boy and got him self all dressed for the day. One can never have to much red.

That evening the boys decided to do dinner for themselves. James made a cheese sandwich and I am still not sure what Josh was having, but the had some cheese.

Fast forward to the next evening and once again the boys were working on dinner for themselves. Josh just went to town on the cream cheese, eating big bites.
And yes!!! Josh is in the same clothes. We not only got two days worth of wear out of them, but they also moonlighted as his PJ's.
The good news was Josh final got a shower and some clean clothes that night.

Moral of the story...........

When Mom does not feel well anything goes.

Weekend Wrap Up

I don't have a lot to dazzle you through our life right now. So, here is a weekend....
Friday night we had a wonderful surprise. Frank and Teeny came out to watch the boys so Brad and I could have a date. We hit Training Table and saw The Proposal. It was so nice. It is sad to say that I really can't remember the last time we had a date night. Thanks Frank and Teeny.
Nothing like a weekend around home to get things done. Brad and the boys worked on getting the toilet fixed. I think there was a bit a frustration flowing from the bathroom has all wanted to help.

Saturday evening we headed up Millcreek Canyon for some tin foil dinners and hanging with the Bentleys. Needless to say we had to make a stop at Alberto's for a fabulous California burrito. OOH...so good.

After Alberto's we headed next door for Subways to take up the mountain. Yep.....two dinners for us. It was wonderful!!!

Once at the cabin we had some volleyball fun and a Moose that decided to visit a little to close for comfort.

Another great weekend with lots of sleep for myself and the boys having their Dad.

July 4th

There is nothing better than spending the holiday in the warm sun, enjoying some family and swimming. Our 4th was low key an perfect for us.
*lazy morning
*swimming
*sun
*family
*Alberto's
*fireworks
The kid was in Heaven. After being band from the water with swimmers ear for the past week the kid was so happy to be able to swim.
All my boys!!!
Brad is the life of the party. Nothing like a little social event to get him out of his shell.

Best part.... in bed by 10:30.

Kindergarten Complete!!

Yesterday we finally had James' last day of school. I am so glad that we are done with this whole year round thing. I am a fan of the tradition schedule.
The kid was so excited. They had a little reward ceremony followed by a few little songs that they had learned. I never thought I would be so proud of my little boy singing Skin-a-ma-rink.

All through out the year James had different assignments that needed to be completed and the kid did all 26 that were assigned and he got his medal. He was one happy kid.

Brad has a few issues with James being so excited and happy about a performance.
School is now over and our summer can official start.

What do you do in the Summer time???

This is what happens when you have a Mom that doesn't feel very good, a warm summer day, and two boys that need something to do.

The backyard becomes the bathroom.....

The sand box gets turned into a mud pit.
